Permanent media filters use a reusable, cleanable filter element instead of a disposable bag. The housing and media are built to be pulled, cleaned and put back in service repeatedly, which lowers the ongoing consumable cost on loops that generate enough particulate to go through disposable bags quickly.
The Advantage PM series covers PM-24, PM-30 and PM-36, sized to progressively higher flow capacity. These are the right choice where filter change frequency on a bag filter has become a real maintenance burden, or where bag disposal itself - cost, frequency, or waste handling - is a problem the plant would rather design out.
Replacement or spare media for the permanent filter housings is available on request. Tell us your loop's flow rate and how often you're currently changing filters and we'll confirm whether a PM-series unit will actually reduce that burden.

Sizing A Permanent Media Filter
Flow rate against the housing's rated capacity is the primary sizing number, same as a bag filter - but the payoff calculation for an Advantage PM-series unit comes from your current change frequency, not just today's flow rate. If you're already changing bags weekly or more, the labor and consumable savings usually justify the higher upfront cost of a permanent housing within a modest payback period.
If bag-disposal cost or handling is the deciding factor rather than change frequency itself, a PM-series unit is worth pricing even on a loop that isn't changing bags especially often.
