MG-40W

The MG-40W is the water-cooled version of Advantage's 40-ton MG frame — a 20 HP tandem scroll compressor rejecting heat to city or tower water instead of an air-cooled coil. The process pump moves 92 GPM at 61 PSI through a centrifugal head in cast iron. Process connections are 2-1/2" NPT. The 65-gallon reservoir carries a standard automatic make-up valve. On city water the condenser needs roughly 60 GPM; on a cooling tower loop, plan on about 120 GPM — size the water budget before committing to this frame over the air-cooled equivalent, since a water-cooled unit only wins when that water is already free or reclaimed. Two compressor circuits share the load, so the unit keeps running at reduced capacity if one circuit needs service instead of leaving the process with no cooling at all. Charged with R-454B.
